Hey guys, can't seem to find the answer anywhere (including FAQ's of Common App) so I was hoping you guys could help me out :]

If my ACT scores are way better, do I have to list SAT scores at all on Common App? I don't plan to send them in to any colleges.

Thanks!

It’s only a self-report; colleges don’t really care about this section either: they much rather look at the official scores that are sent in, ACT or SAT.

So the answer to your question is: no!

You can just choose to list your ACT score. After all, you most likely won’t be sending your official SAT scores via College Board to your schools anyway.

I know one college I applied to actually chose not to recieve ANY of my self-reported scores. The others one that did I’m sure didn’t look at them. So like other said, I don’t believe it’s a necessity.
