Is this true or is it possible only to send your best ones when you apply?

Don't pick any schools when you sign up for the tests. Wait until you see your score. Don't send any score you dislike. (And as an added measure , don't list your high school so they can't copy your score and send it with your transcript). ACT allows score choice, and that is major plus.

wait, why? I don't understand. If you send the the scores to your highschool then they send all of your scores?? In what other way would you be able to send your score to colleges if not through your highschool? (I'm really confused lol)

You have to send official score reports to colleges directly from ACT. In addition, some high schools will list all standardized score reports in the information they send to colleges. But if your school doesn't get the score reports, it can't do that (or you can just show your school the scores you want reported). One could always ask a high school to just list particular scores; I don't know if they will do this or not.
