If a school does not participate in score choice, does that mean that I even have to send in every SAT subject test I ever took? I found a thread about this but I’m still confused so if someone knows that’d be helpful thank you
Yes
I’ve been reading forums and read some UC applicants of UCs that didn’t participate in score choice, and also some others such as CalTech or other well known schools who often emphasize that they “recommend” us to send in all past SAT scores (both SAT and SAT II). However those who made it in, such as into UCLA or UCB, they said they used score choice since the colleges don’t have access to what we choose and would never know whether that was our 1st, 2nd or 3rd time taking it because on the transcript of your selected scores it doesn’t indicate.
Some schools that do not participate in score choice only requires that you send all SAT Is. Just check with each school.
Depends on the school. Yale makes you give in all SAT Is but not SAT IIs.
I’m pretty sure you can pick which SAT IIs to send. Otherwise, if you took, say, 5 Subject Tests and the college you’re applying to only requires/recommends 2…then they would look down on your application and maybe assume you can’t read.
I highly doubt that. More likely they would question if the applicant has anything to offer other than test taking ability.
Anyway, back to the OP. Few colleges require you to send in all Subject Tests even if they require all SAT I scores. But you really need to check with the individual schools.
@skieurope It was a jest.
thank you so much to everyone who responded this was helpful
