Do I have to send in my ACT score?

"ACT lets the student decide what set of scores they want sent. The College Board's policy is to send all scores."

Does this mean that if I take the ACT once and am not satisfied with my score...I don't have to send it? So it will be like I never even took the ACT?

To colleges, you never took the ACT if you choose to not report that one session. They can't find out unless you sent them the score

The difference between score reporting on the SAT and reporting on the ACT is this:

When you have scores sent for the SAT they send scores for ALL the tests you have taken - all your SAT I scores and all your SAT II scores.

For the ACT, you can decide which scores you want to send. For example, if you take the test in April and then again in the fall, you can choose which of the score you want to sent. You can also send both sets if you want.
