do I have to send sat 1

my sat score is not nearly as high as act....is it ok if I only send my act despite the whole "no score choice" deal? seems dumb to spend 40 bucks on sending scores they won't even look at.
btw the school I'm applying to only needs act or sat+subjects so I meet the requirements

I called admissions (twice, actually) and both times was told you do not have to send all of your SAT scores if you are using ACT. It is a confusing issue since the Cornell and College Board sites say to “send all”. I suppose one can interpret that to mean if you are using SAT 1 scores, you have to send them all, or if you are using ACT scores you have to send them all. You do have the option on the College Board site to select what you want to send to Cornell.

This is from last year…
