I am doing ED and the deadline is Nov 1. I have taken all my tests and got all my scores back. I checked Collegeboard that it will take 4 months to process and send my scores after I requested my scores to be sent. Is it okay to submit my app but have my request for scores sending is still pending? Colleges don't need to have the official scores right by the deadline right?

Four months? Where does it say this? I remember pretty clearly that it said 1-2 weeks for regular ($9.50 per request) and 1-2 days (+$27) if you rush your scores.

Collegeboard says "Scores are delivered to the additional colleges and programs requested approximately four weeks after we process your request. Please remember that an additional week may be needed for the score recipients to process your scores, once they receive them. "

That’s not the point of my question though. I really want to know if colleges require that they receive the scores by the app deadline or is there a week or two time period after the deadline that they will receive the scores? I checked on my college and it doesn’t specify.

I doubt that they need your official scores by the deadline. My friend took the October SAT and her ED application is also due Nov 1. She got her scores on the 29, so obviously the college won’t get her scores after a few weeks. It’s just the application itself and any other materials (supplemental apps…) that needs to be sent by Nov 1.
