Do I have to send SAT Subject tests?

I am taking the Chemistry SAT II on saturday. I also plan on taking other subject tests next year(my junior year). I understand that I am able to chose which scores I send depending on the school. This may be a stupid question, but if I end up doing poorly on all of my subject tests, is it possible to not send any of theses scores, or do I need to send at least one?

Some schools do not require ANY subject tests, some suggest you send them, others require two (at least), and some want ALL the scores you’ve taken. It really depends on the school you’re applying to.

For the schools that let you just send in two of your choosing, you can select the ones you want to show. So no you don’t need to send in the bad ones  I wouldn’t recommend it either. For a school that wants to see everything, you have no choice, which is why if you have one bad score you should have at least two that are good enough to outweigh the bad one (in my opinion). In contrast, if you aren’t required to send SAT subject scores but do really well in one, you should just send it because it’s acts as a supplement.

You’re just finishing your sophomore year? You have plenty of time to do well on subject tests, just be sure to work on the general SAT.
