Do I have to take bio in the high school in order to have a bio major?

Hello guys, I will become a senior next year. I want to major in bio in the college .
HOWEVER, I have some family issue so I was not in America’s high school when I was in 9 and 10th grade.
And the school I went to does not offer biology in 9 and 10th grade.
I dont if I should take bio in my senior year. Personally I want to take some other AP classes in order to earn some college credits.
If I do not take biology in high school, will I be far behind in the biology major in the college?

Many schools have a requirement of at least 2 lab based science classes such as Biology, Physics and Chemistry. If you plan to pursue Biology in college, you should at least have Biology and Chemistry in HS to be competitive. Many lower division Bio/Chem classes in college are “weed” out classes for Pre-Med majors etc… so having a solid background in HS will definitely be an advantage. Why can’t you take AP Bio Senior year??? I think you will be at a great disadvantage not taking any Bio during HS.
