I am in advanced math but I am terrible at it. I absolutely hate it. Next year as a senior I can either take ap stat or ap calc ab. I would rather take ap stat. Do I have to take ap calc to get into u of m? How about ross?

You don’t have to take calc. Plenty of people from my school got into Michigan and didn’t take Calc. However, if calc is part of your major, it’s nice to try and get some experience with it before entering college.

You will have to take calc at UM to be eligible to apply to Ross. You’ll have to do fairly well in it to have a reasonable chance of getting accepted.

I would recommend taking it. You will need it eventually for Ross, and it is MUCH easier as an AP class. Good Luck!

AP Calc is significantly easier than Calculus at Umich.

I am fairly certain most successful applicants for Ross preadmit have taken Calculus in high school.
