I like math, science, literature (even though it is tough since I am international student)
psychology, econ, music etc.

But, one subject that I absolutely HATE is history.

Do I have to take history when I am doing Core?

Do I have to take history when I am doing Core?

Check the CORE course requirements on the website

Nah. You won’t really have to take too many history classes. The core curriculum is almost more of an analytical framework rather than a class with rote memorization. I’m an engineer so I don’t have a broad exposure, but I have exposure with music humanities. Instead of memorizing pieces and reading about history, you explore how music has progressed through the centuries and what links them.

Literature Humanities - study of ancient Greek texts, probably most like history class due to memorization. However, I think you learn about the historical pinnings of Greek tragedies and some passages from the Bible. Probably important as a framework for an analysis of modern western literature.

Contemporary Civilazation - philosophy class, very much about logic

Music Hum/Art Hum - development of these art through time

Global Core - Your choice but definitely history classes.

So beard tax… how is music hum? To tell the truth I don’t really like classical music and am practically tone deaf… Could you walk me through what you have done in the class (broad overview)?
