my counselor says no for business/political science majors, as i think i'd do better on ushistory and biology instead. I already took another subject test, and i really don't want to take math unless it's really important for business majors as it's not my strong suit... but i see people recommending others to take the math IIC for business?

You don't HAVE to do anything. Should you? Yes you should/

You SHOULD take Math II, and you NEED to take Calculus.

the SATs are only to get you into college. if you're all set, then you're all set. no sense in wasting another $20 to take some random test. that said, you're still going to need to take Calculus and Statistics in college if you want to major in business.

i will be taking calculus next year. i'm in precalc right now. i'm can't really do math when there's only 1 hr to do it because i get so stressed i can't think...i know i'm really good at ushistory and i'm taking apbio right now so that's why i would rather take those than mathIIC.
%%$^%$ it.

err you don't need to take calculus in high school however. like for me, Im taking AP statistics my senior year instead of ap calculus AB... I heard the pass rate for AP test was under 50%... so HAHA. and yes. 2C should be required for business. also, math IIC only goes up to precalc level anyway.

It's probably highly recommended.. I'm pretty sure that top business undergraduate schools like wharton prefer their applicants take math IIC..

math 2 c is where its at yo

i guess i will be taking it then.

economics advanced courses in college require multivariable calc...so stay the course in mathematics if you can and stay in advanced math

What Faline 2 says. Economics is really hardcore with math, so yes, Math IIC by all means!
