Do I have to take physics in high school?

Depends on which physics course. The true college level physics courses that are transferable to four year universities will certainly look better, but may be more difficult without a high school physics background.

I’m in a pretty similar situation. I got into Tufts and was planning on doing chemical engineering, but haven’t taken a physics course in high school. As for my math/science high school APs I took AP calc AB and AP bio last year and am taking AP chem and AP stats this year. I have done well in all of my AP science and math classes. Is it likely to be problematic that I haven’t taken a physics class in high school? I’m in a town with a major university and a couple community colleges, is it worth trying to investigate a summer physics class?

stressedstudent2- (if you happen to see this) I am a student entering my senior year and in the same position that you were last year. Did taking the physics course the summer before you entered college work? Did you end up finding an alternative path?
Thanks
