Hi everyone. I'm a high school junior who is looking for information on colleges. In my school, I don't have to take physics because I only need two years of lab science to graduate. I already took biology and chemistry, which are both lab science.

My question is that if I don't take physics this year or next year, would that hurt my college applications?

It’s impossible to say without knowing your stats, the schools you’re applying to, and your intended major. A 3.7 GPA, 26 ACT, applying to Swarthmore for History? No it won’t affect your application 'cause you aren’t getting in with those stats. A 3.9 GPA, 31 ACT, applying to Penn for Engineering? Yeah, not taking Physics will be an obstacle.

Depends on your intended major and your current strength. If you are not going into science or engineering, it should not matter as long as you fulfill the college requirement for application.
