Or can I take them starting the second semester? also, on the college website there are some courses that satisfy both the first half and second half of the requirement. If I take those courses, does it mean I only have to take one semester of it or still need to take a full year?

where did you find those that satisfies both requirement? Sometimes you want to have humanities courses, I dont think you want to just rush it through.

i’m an incoming freshman and i’ll be taking a humanities course. if possible, i might try to delay my r&c 2 until summer of my senior year. i don’t know if it’s a valid strategy yet though.

You asked these same exact questions on another thread, and I already answered.

You can take R&C courses ANY TIME you want. And IF THERE ARE COURSES THAT SATISFY BOTH HALVES OF THE REQUIREMENT, YOU WOULD OBVIOUSLY ONLY NEED TO TAKE ONE SEMESTER. (By the way, which classes are these?)

it probably thought it said both half but it actually said either half

Just in case, “satisfying EITHER half” is not the same as “satisfying BOTH halves.”

take it over the summer it u can. it’s a lot less work.
