I took 3 years of Spanish in high school. I got A's my first year, C's my 2nd year, and B's my 3rd year. So I understand that I might not have to take a Spanish class at a CC. BUT, the reason I came to a CC is to get straight A's in all my courses. So if I want to transfer to a UC, will the C's & B's from the 2nd & 3rd year in high school affect my GPA? Or should I retake Spanish at a CC and aim for A's? Also, today I took a Spanish placement test and placed into Spanish 4. So if I take that course only, will I still have to prove that I took Spanish in high school and will they look at those grades? Or am I fine just taking Spanish 4? Please answer.

Here is my school's version of the IGETC. I placed into Spanish 4.
