Do I HAVE to take the TOEFL/IELTS if I'm an international?

I was born in Shanghai, but I moved to Canada 9 years ago, and I got my Canadian citizenship 4 years ago.

Nobody has ever told me I needed to take the TOEFL or anything like that...

No because you’ve gone to school in an English speaking country for more than 5? or something like that years

In your situation, if your SAT verbal and writing section is up to par then they won’t make you take TOEFL. If they’re too low then yeah they will, or else they’ll just reject you because you go to an english speaking secondary school.

I got 760 for CR and 750 for Writing, so I should be fine then? It’s just that on the CMU supplement it said that I had to have taken those tests…

Every school has its own policy. If you have had English as your primary language of instruction for 9 years it is highly unlikely that they want you to take TOEFL. Especially with your SAT scores. I would check the website carefully, and if in any doubt call them. But I really, really doubt that in your case any school would want TOEFL.

no your SAT is good enough

most schools have it that if you have 500/600+ CR and 500/600+ W then you get the TOEFL waived

I dont think you do. I was born in Japan but I moved to Texas like 12 years ago and most of my school didnt require me to take the TOEFL. Im not even a citizen!
USC was the only school which really recommended me taking it for some reason but thats about it
