Do i have to take the TOEFL?

I came to the U.S. in 7th grade.
I scored 2180 on the SAT (CR:630)
Do I have to take the TOEFL?
On UPenn admissions website, it says all students whose native language is something other than english should take the TOEFL.
I dont know if i have to take it or not. help me :D

you need to take the toefl if you put in native language as anything other than english on the common app form- otherwise i dont think it is mandatory for you to take toefl. if you have studied in the us since 7th grade and you are comfortable with the language you dont need it but i would double chk with the university.

from the upenn admissions website [Penn Admissions: Required Tests](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/applying/testing.php)

TOEFL Examinations
In addition to the required SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests, all students whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by the College Entrance Examination Board, Box 899, Princeton, New Jersey 08540. Results should be forwarded directly to the Penn Admissions office. Contact Educational Testing Services for more information.
