Do I have to take two physics courses in high school?

I took physics 2 years ago and I got an a both semesters but now I’m in AP Physics and I have an F…I obviously understood physics at one point but it’s all going over my head now. I’m planning on studying pre med anthropology and my counselor says if I can’t do well in AP Physics I shouldn’t be going to med school… but I mean I already have a physics credit. I’m doing everything I possibly can to get out of this class by my question is does it really matter which physics background I have? (regular or AP) Do I even have to take physics in college? If I do, will it hurt that I haven’t taken physics in 3 years?

Yes, you have to take 1 year of physics - which is at least AP level if not higher.

Given that you’re literally failing AP physics, I think the bigger concern is that your physics background is simply not strong enough. I took physics my junior year in high school and then no other physics until my junior year of college so 4 years and it comes back quickly. There’s no way I would have literally been failing AP physics though.
