Do I have to tell the UC/CSU schools that I took the SAT and my scores, even if my ACT is better?

Ok so I'm taking the ACT on Dec. 13 and I took the SAT 3 times. I don't want to tell them my SAT scores on the application if my ACT ends up being better. If my ACT is not better, I'll report the SAT scores. Do I have to tell the schools on their application that I took the SAT, and if I do, do I have to tell them what my score was? And do I have to send them all scores from the college board website?

Basically if I say I took the SAT and ACT, do I have to put the score on the application/I have to send them the score? So I have to indicate I'm taking the ACT in December. If I end up not liking my score am I required to send it?

…bumpppppp

Yes. You must report all scores.

@Happy2Help, where does the UC state applicants must submit the ACT and SAT scores? I don’t believe that is the case, and the OP can just send the ACT score if that is deemed to be better.

I’ve been to 3 different UC adcom presentations prior to touring campuses and they prefer to see all sittings. All SATs are required http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/requirements/examination-requirement/</a>

As for ACT+ Writing, it’s to your advantage to show all sittings so they can see the highest single scores in each section and highest score at one sitting. BTW @dak0ta‌ needs to send ACT at the time of the test anyway (you have until sometime Thursday depending on where you live, after the test), to get it to the UC in time or his app review may be delayed.

OP can call UC adcom for specific campus advice.
