Hi,
I'm a high school junior from Illinois and I'm freaking out at the prospect of applying to schools next fall. I have a couple of schools in mind and I'd like it if some chances me.

Here's my list of schools:

University of South Carolina (main campus)
Duke
USC
Butler
University of Washington
University of Richmond
Siena

I think you’ll get into the University of Washington. (The only one on your list I know much about) I live 3 blocks from it and basically everyone in my school yearns to go there. It’s getting more and more difficult to be admitted every year, and the administration at my school advises students to not even bother applying if they aren’t in the top quarter of the class. There was a rumor that the counselors stopped signing off kids who were in the top half but not the top quarter (50%-74%).
U of Washington is going through some economic problems, so they’re desiring Out of State kids who are willing to pay full tuition. If you state that you don’t need aid (even though they claim to be ‘need blind’ admissions) you’ll get in 100%. Otherwise, you have well over a 90% chance.

I think you’re good for wisconsin as well.

Minnesota is a super-ultra safety.

Good luck.
