Do I list these 'UC-needed' classes on my CSU app?

I started my CSU app and there’s a portion that says ‘planned courses’. I listed 5 but out of those 5, I only need to take 3 for CSUs. The rest are courses required for UCs (physics 197 in spring and math 255 in the summer).

My question is should I list out all 5? I’m just concerned because if I don’t make it into a UC, I’ll drop the idea of taking math 255 in the summer as well as physics 197 in the spring as they aren’t required.

Also, for me, I think they might understand if I dropped the idea of taking 255 as it isn’t required but would it look bad (to the point they rescind admission) if I took a W for physics 197 in the spring (if there’s enough time to do so) if I get accepted to a CSU and decide to go there?

Thanks :-)!

You list all your classes you have planned for both the CSU and UC applications. Once you are accepted and enroll in one of your choices, you will send your final transcripts to that school. Your planned classes should match what is on the transcript. The schools could rescind your acceptance if you are not completing the planned courses or if you do not notify them that you dropped any of these classes after the application period.

@Gumbymom Thanks for your detailed answer :-), I appreciate it!
