Do I look OK for MSU & OSU?

<p>Hey guys. I will be a second-semester sophomore this spring, and I'm looking to get out of my current university. I expect to have a 3.3 or so by the time I transfer. I got a terrible grade during first semester of freshman year (D), but am retaking that class this semester.</p>

<p>EC's: President of my school's College Democrats chapter, coordinating a nation-wide global warming event in January, third-prize winner of my uni's annual Int'l Studies essay contest (as a freshman), asst. editor of the history review (will assume position this coming semester), some other things here and there.</p>

<p>I'm looking at Ohio State and Michigan State. Do I have a good chance if I apply for fall '08 semester/quarter?</p>

<p>Ohio State and Michigan state are very transfer friendly in the acceptance department…wow that made..no sense.</p>

<p>Thanks soccer. Someone told me that OSU basically guarantees admission to anyone with a 3.0 or over. Sounds ridiculous to me…is it true?</p>
