I’ve been playing violin since the third grade and in sixth and seventh grade, I played in an out-of-school youth orchestra. I continued playing violin but left the group. Next year, in my junior year, I plan on rejoining the group. In regards to the Common App, should I mention the gap? Would it be dishonest not to?
most applicants don’t report ECs from grade school or middle school. If you do rejoin in 11th grade, just list that.
“Violin since third grade, including three years in xxxx”
