Im currently undecided, but i was wondering since i want to transfer to UcB Haas do i need to declare myself or what?

yes.

wait for better responses lol

i think you need to reevaluate your options. if you didn’t even know that you had to declare a major then haas isn’t for you. for all CC students, the point is to take you MAJOR REQUIREMENTS. this obviously means you NEED A MAJOR. when you apply, you are applying for a SPECIFIC MAJOR, not the school in general. you can’t just apply to UCB or UCLA (technically you can, but this will significantly lower your chances if u choose “undeclared.” and once you get in if you want to do a major u have to have the prereqs completed. and for most of the majors at ucla & berkeley, u cannot be accepted to the school for a different major and change it to biz econ, econ, pol sci etc…now for haas, you obviously have to “Declare” your major. meaning, if you’re applying to “Haas School of BUSINESS”, you’re obviously a business major…

Why Haas? Unless you’re an athlete, I doubt you would get accepted as an undeclared. Might want to stop by your CC’s career center.

oh well i have been completing the prereq for business admin at haas so i guess ill change my major status. idk you had to do that back when i applied to go to cc

Randommonkey, are u talking about declaring a major at ur CC or when u apply? if ur talking about CC then no, it doesnt really matter…but when u apply u obviously should declare which major u r applying to…

i was talking about when im at the cc i know what im going to declare at berk

In that case, no, you do not need a major, a cc major means nothing when transferring, at least to the extent of my knowledge
