I am applying to some of the top schools for engineering in the country (MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Cornell, etc.), and I have already gotten 800s in Math II and Chemistry. However, I have heard that even though schools like this require / strongly recommend 2 subject tests, 3 800s would make a big difference. How true is that statement?

Personally I think it would be a waste of time and look like I have nothing better to do, but what do you think?

don’t bother. it just makes you look super nerdy and antisocial.
