My scores so far for the SAT IIs are:

Math IC 750
Biology (molecular) 760
Chemistry 800

I chose not to take the US History one this year because my guidance counselor said it can be a crapshoot some years with really random facts.

Since I'm really interested in Wharton (will apply ED either there or a different ivy), I think I will be doing the rush scoring of Math IIC in November (planning to re-take SAT I in October)

I just realized that my SAT IIs are completely biased towards math/science and give no indication of any humanities... will this be a problem and should I take any other tests next year (taking SAT I in June)?????

Thanks

The Lit test would add a nice balance. It doesn't require a huge amount of prep, but some people find it pretty tough. It's basically literature based reading comp. Take a sample test and see if you think it's a test for you...

If you're applying to a science or engineering program specifically, those tests are probably more than fine.

In a similar vein,

Math IIC 800
French (without listening) 730

planning to take Physics in June

Is this good enough for Ivies? French score too low?

I think it all just depends on what the rest of your application is. If you have high grades and got EC's and SAT I's and stuff, I think you have a good shot.

Ugh, I scored a 730 on the US history, and a 700 on biology; not really outstanding. Are these scores still competitive?

Bklyn, I think I'm going to retake it in June as a walk in.

I have the same question basically, just this one is for Cornell.
I got a 770 on US History and 680 on Bio :(

I dont think you should do it. History is good for both of us. Bio...well....its not awesome but its also considered good for Ivy.

BTW, SAT II isnt all THAT important. I mean it is, but we are making our grades seem much worse than they really are as im told by my college counselor. Its fine. It is still competitive assuming that you have a good average, and great EC's and great essay and good SAT's.

i want to go to wharton. here are my scores:

1510 (800M 710V) on old and 750 sat2writing: 2260 combined

790 math2c
760chem
760 history
750math1c

im take the new sat in two weeks.

those are enough right? the only thing that really bugs me is that 790. gah. im good at math, dont know how i got a 790. but i would look my immature to retake that for the 800, right?

yeah, don't retake it. the 790 is great. to them, it's virtually indistinguishable from the 800 - they might think something is wrong with you if you took it again :)

bump... do I need to plan on taking US History next year with the 3 scores I currently have (Math Ic, Chem, Bio)

I'm probably going to do ED to wharton, so I will take IIc rush delivery in Nov, should I do the history along with it?
