Do I need Physics? Also--is my 710 high enough?

Do I need subject tests in both the humanities and the math/sciences? I just took the US History and Literature tests, and got 710 and 800, respectively. I'm considering doing Math II or Physics as well, but math isn't my strong suit and, although I'm good at physics and have a really high grade in the class, I'm only in regents (regular) physics and not AP so I'm worried I won't be prepared. Is it necessary for me to take one of those two, and if it is, do you think it's realistic that I could take Physics and do well? Also, how well do you actually have to do for it to look "good" to elite colleges? (I know Physics has the highest curve and lowest median scores).

As a side note, is 710 in US History good enough, or should I retake it? I think I can probably do a little bit better, but I don't know if a 20 or 30 point increase is worth it.

Physics has some of the highest median scores. If you go through Princeton Review, you should be able to score high 700s at least in Physics if you really are doing well in it. There will be stuff you haven’t covered, but the modern stuff is pretty learnable. Your 800 in Literature is stellar, so if you do well on a test like Physics which is pretty concept based, then you are good. If you want to do Math 2, then really put that off until October or November, because even though it has a high curve, it’s a pretty hard test. You probably don’t have to send your US History test if you do well in Physics or Math because you already have a great humanities test.

I would take Math 2 over physics. Physics is designed for someone who has taken the AP physics B course, so it will be very difficult coming out of regular physics.

Not to mention the test being very hard…
