do i need to apply ED to help chances?

hey guys!I’m a high school junior from the northeast and I’m really interested in wash u. I was wondering if I need to apply early to help my chances. Other schools I’m looking at include yale (legacy, but I don’t like it as much) duke rice stanford and claremont mckenna.
My gpa is 3.8/4 and got a 34 on my ACTs, SATII 770 for us history and 780 for chinese (not a native speaker).I’m taking the most advanced courses offered and I’m in the top 10% of my grade.
I’ve been playing piano for 14 years and I’ve been a qualified member of the national piano playing guild for 10 years, along with volunteering and working as an accompanist, soloist, and teacher. I'm scheduled to play on npr radio this fall and I'm planning to enter more competitions this year. I also fence competitively and I was a usa rep at the world scholar athlete games (not as impressive as it sounds) and started the fencing team at my school. Also, leadership wise, I’m the class rep for school council, won the rotary youth leadership award twice, and was a usa rep at the world youth peace summit. Also, I’ve been in johns Hopkins center for talented youth program for five years and I’ve interned there for their program to promote genetic and genomic research in minorities.
Also, I'm involved in several clubs in my school that all fundraise for the American Cancer society, I'm a relay for life captain, and the research I've been doing at jhu was focused on cancer. And I've participated in many scholarships pageants and have finished third in the miss america system in my state and modeled for a few things.

Do you guys think that I need to apply ED to help my chances? I actually want to major in econ/finance even tho my resume is geared towards pre-med, and idk if thats gonna make things harder for me.

Yes to ED. RD is like a lottery with many many top applicants not getting accepted. My son’s stats were a little stronger than yours and he was accepted ED this year.

Yes, if it’s your first choice. RD acceptances really are like a lottery.

You stand as good as a chance as any to get in regular. That said, if you’re set on Wash U, ED will help. My sister probably could have got into any school, but after I got into Wash U and she saw it, she decided to apply ED and be done with applications. Don’t think she ever regretted it. I didn’t apply ED but would have if I ha to repeat things.
