Do I need to be a tinkerer to be an engineer?

I’m graduating soon and hated most of the calculus. I barely survived that ■■■■. I definitely loved the science related maths, however. Things like Thermo, dynamics, statics, and programming!

Colorado_Mom- Ooh, well I did know it was very math intensive. I have not taken any higher level math classes besides college algebra (which was an easy A), so I am a little worried about calculus. But I like all of the math I’ve taken and I’m actually excited to get into harder math classes.

DrGoogle - Thanks for the confirmation! I guess I just thought you had to be tinkerer to be an engineer.

ninjex- Thank you for the confidence and your advice! I’m very analytical, if not over-analytical.
If I may ask, are you an engineer? If so what type?

HANDxOFxGod- Thanks for your point of view!
