Do I need to buy Microsoft office 2007?

Hey blokes,

I just bought a new laptop and I don't know if I will need Microsoft office 2007 at UCSD. I use open office 3 and I don't want to buy a $80 software when I can use its clone for free. Please help me if I will need MIcrosoft word at UCSD and if I should buy MIcrosoft office 2007.

Cheers,
SYNCHROTRON

you should be fine with open office. as long as you can open .doc files and save files as .doc (for classes that use turnitin - you might be able to use the open office extension but i’m not sure), i wouldn’t bother buying word.

Microsoft will be releasing a full free version of office to be used online. Until then just use Google’s. It works just as well as Microsoft’s.

^^^When; I am happy right now using open office.

Nope, you don’t need it. And if you ever do, the campus computers have it.

(But really, it’s way better than Open Office.)

phazeddl . com and search for it to download ms office 07 for mac version

thanks brothah! but I have windows; any links for windows version???

google docs are your friends.
