True, but leaving out LPS BIO 1C means that the OP would be missing (parts of) BIOLSCI 2A and 2B at UCD and would therefore have to take both of these after transfer (if she can be admitted with those courses missing), though she would be covered for BIOLSCI 2C if she took LPS BIO 1A and 1B.
If the OP takes only one of the three LPS BIO courses, 1C will cover one UCD BIOLSCI course (2A), while 1A or 1B would not fully cover any. There is no combination of two of the LPS BIO courses that covers more than one UCD BIOLSCI course, so the OP would need to take all three LPS BIO courses to get more coverage (and that would cover all three of the UCD BIOLSCI courses). In other words, if the OP has not yet taken any of the biology courses, take LPS BIO 1C, or take all of LPS BIO 1A, 1B, 1C before transfer.
If the OP has already taken LPS BIO 1B, adding 1A or 1C will result in covering one UCD BIOLSCI course, while adding both 1A and 1C will result in covering all three of them.
Regarding the chemistry question, the ASSIST page shows:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a) CHEM 2A Genl Chemistry (5)|CHEM 1A General College (5)
| Chemistry I
a) CHEM 2B Genl Chemistry (5)|CHEM 1A & General College (5)
| Chemistry I
|CHEM 1B General College (5)
| Chemistry II
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So LPS CHEM 1A covers UCD CHEM 2A. Leaving out LPS CHEM 1B would mean that the OP would need to take CHEM 2B after transfer to UCD.
However, the animal science major also requires organic chemistry:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHEM 8A Organic Chem-Brief (2)|CHEM 12A Organic Chemistry I (5)
CHEM 8B Organic Chem-Brief (4)|CHEM 12B Organic Chemistry II (5)
OR | OR<br>
CHEM 118A Org Chem, Hlth & Sci (4)|CHEM 12A Organic Chemistry I (5)
CHEM 118B Org Chem, Hlth & Sci (4)|CHEM 12A & Organic Chemistry I (5)
|CHEM 12B Organic Chemistry II (5)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is therefore a good idea to complete as much chemistry as possible (LPS CHEM 1A, 1B, 12A, 12B) before transferring.
