I recently accepted my admission to another school. Though I love Wake, family issues make it impossible for me to be so far away from home(I live in CA). I was wondering if Wake required admitted students to decline their offer of admission. I have heard that some private schools require you to decline their offer if you don't plan to attend and that if you didn't, your status will be listed as incomplete and you will be rescinded from both schools(the one you plan on going to and the school that you don't plan on going to). Anyways, congrats to all those who got in and will be attending in Fall 2008!

Not sure what may be "required," but why wouldn't you let Wake know you're not planning to attend? It's common courtesy, isn't it?

In the time it took you to write this post, you could have sent back the reply card to Wake, or sent them an e-mail. Why do you even have to ask?

A brief letter to the Director of Admissions thanking them for their consideration and the opportunity, but explaining that you will be attending your nearby instate public is the proper thing to do. Demonstrates 'class' for you personally, but also for others in your community who may apply to WF in the future.
