Do I need to do anything different in high school/pre-med/med school if I know I want to be a surgeon? Or is it all the same and I just need to be freaking out about getting accepted?

And what classes(If any) do you think I should take extra in high school?

once you reach every milestone in the path to a surgeon, everything you did from the previous milestone will be forgotten. E.g. the things you do in high school become irrelevant while you’re in college, the things you did in college become irrelevant when you’re in medical school, and the things you did in medical school become irrelevant once you reach residency.

Have you actually watched a surgery in real life? If you’re still in high school, this is the ONLY thing I would say you even consider doing beyond being a normal high schooler trying to get into college.

Too far away to be worrying about anything other than getting into college. No, you don’t need to do anything now other than what is required to get into the undergraduate institutions that you are interested in.

Relax, enjoy your senior year (if you are a senior) and if not, REALLY relax because it’s far too early to be thinking about what you need to do to be a surgeon.
