<p>That depends on the schools you are applying to. Some schools are FAFSA only. The rest require both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile.</p>
<p>Check all of your school financial aid websites for the requirements for completing THEIR financial aid applications. Virtually all schools require the FAFSA (although I have heard of one that does not). In addition, about 300 or so schools ALSO require the Profile. Some schools have their own financial aid form. AND some schools require that signed tax returns be sent also.</p>
<p>Check each school.</p>
<p>And while you’re at it…CHECK FOR EACH SCHOOL’S DEADLINES and do NOT miss the deadlines. They will vary from school to school.</p>
<p>Most schools will NOT process your financial aid application until they receive ALL the materials they require.</p>
