Do i need to have finished with algebra 2 and intro to statistics to get into a 4yr university? I'm currently attending a community college by my house and have taken all my GE courses except math. A counselor told me i need to finish these 2 math courses before i will get accepted, but i really hate my school and i wanna move out and go to a different school (a state university). Is there a way i can take these math classes at the other university? Or take them online somehow while i'm attending a 4yr? My major is business..
thanks

does this mean at this point you've only taken algebra I?

honestly, I don't see why it should matter, 4-yr unis have very, very basic math classes that you can take to catch up.

for business you're gonna have to take calculus btw :D

AACSB-accredited schools reassess students before their junior year. You would have to meet those requirements before you can transfer into their programs. Statistics and calculus are common requirements. Suck it up and take the classes at community college. Take them online if you can't stand the campus.
You can take them at a 4-year university, but 1) they'll likely be more expensive, 2) they'll likely be harder, 3) they may delay your graduation plans by a semester or more, 4) you may not be accepted into the upper-level business program at that 4-year school and will have to transfer to keep your major.

You have to do statistics and business calculus.

Yes i've only taken algebra I in high school. Math was never my favorite subject so i took every other course i needed in college and now i have to finish with math (algebra 2 and intro to stats) before i can transfer. I can do it i just don't like it...
So i decided i wanna major in marketing/advertising and become an art director. My counselor told me that there's a business and an art side to that major. I'm liking the art side (creating ads etc) so if i decide to go to an arts school do i still need to pass math? My main problem is that i just wanna get done with what i wanna do and i don't want to waste any time taking math if there's a way around it, i mean if it's considered an art major why do i need math anyways?

You should definitely check out the concrete requirements for the schools you're applying to. Usually any business program requires calculus and statistics at the bare minimum for admittance.

You should Check your Schools Catalog for the classes you need to take. I am at a Community College right now, I had to take Statistics, Business Calculus, and Pre Calculus Algebra. You have to take those Math Courses to get into a Business School. So your Best bet is to just get it over with at the CC.
