Do I need to go to a top Ugrad school to get into top grad??

Is it possible for me to get into harvard graduate school after attending Under-graduate program at Boston College? All the hype with under-graduate schools is getting me really anxious. I was told that the real important thing is graduate school. Is this true? Does it really hurt my chances of getting into harvard graduate if I attend BC under-graduate?

Exactly what factors go into graduate school applications? Research? Transcript? SAT/ACT?

it honestly won't hurt your chances of getting into harvard graduate if you attended bc undergraduate. BC is a great school.

One of my very best friends is a woman who got into Harvard Business School from the University of Delaware. I am acquainted with plenty of other HBS people who came from, by their own admission, no-name schools.

I believe that the current Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, went to BYU for undergrad. He then completed the JD/MBA program at Harvard Law and HBS, graduating with honors from both schools.

i know many people who went to "less elite" undergrad schools who are now at top grad schools.

I think ultimately it is based on your performances in college.

This is correct.

My D graduated from BC, experienced Americorps for two years (earning some "free" graduate school bucks), and was accepted to Harvard for graduate school for Fall of 2006.

Of course, she was/is an excellent student, and very bright and driven.
