Do I need to have all lower-division requirements done to declare?

<p>Does anyone know? I'm planning on declaring computer science, however I wanted to take a few upper division courses this year before finishing off the lower division requirements next year (in my junior year). Can I do this? As in, can I declare before having all my lower-division requirements done? Or is it necessary to have all lower division requirements done in order to declare?</p>

<p>Note: this major is in the Bourns College of Engineering.</p>
