Do I need to have all my major requirements done for UCI TAG as an engineering major?

I'm currently in my first semester at Saddleback College, and I was plan on transferring to UCI as a civil engineering major. I wanted to know if they require engineering majors to have every single one of their major requirements in order to qualify for TAG, and by qualifying for TAG I don't just mean being guaranteed to their campus, but being guaranteed to the major I want. I'm asking this because I really want to transfer in two years, and I'll probably have one or two of my major requirements missing by then (my linear algebra class will probably be missing, and maybe my statics class because the one who teaches that class is horrible). Can someone please clarify this for me?

Is there anyone willing to reply?? I’ve had almost a hundred views…

as far as getting your pre-reqs done, I’d recommend getting as much done as possible, because you also have to complete IGETC in order to qualify for TAG.

and I think you are guaranteed into your major if isn’t impacted (don’t quote me on that though).

The above isn’t true, the only college that asks for IGETC as an engineering major is UCSD, and I don’t know any other UCs that even go as far as recommending it (most will tell you NOT to do IGETC if you’re studying engineering).

whoops lol -_-

Did you apply for TAG at UCI?

I’m also an engineering major and my TAG was accepted for UCI and I’m gonna have 1 or 2 incomplete prereqs, even though in their TAG brochure it said that all prereqs must be completed for admittance into the engineering school. I don’t know what that means as far as getting into my major (since tag only guarantees admission to a school) and I don’t know which majors are impacted at UCI and which aren’t.
