Do I need to have IELTS and SAT/ACT scores?

Hi, I’m from Central Asia. Do I need to have IELTS when sending documents to the university? What about SAT/ACT? Should I have them or not?

Check with each school to see what they require for admissions. There should be an. International applicant section on their admissions webpage.

Most universities are now test optional for SAT/ACT, but a few require them. Notably MIT and Georgetown and a few others.

You will need IELTS or TOEFL scores by the time you apply (ie., by October, which gives you a chance to retake and send the scores on your transcript on time for ED1 or Honors College deadlines.)
SAT/ACT: it depends whether you’re aiming for admission and where, or admission with merit scholarship.
