Do I need to inform UCs/ CSUs about dropped or added classes?

On the University of California and Calfornia State University applications, I put that for one of my planned classes for my 2nd semester of senior year to be Computer Programming, but I dropped it and took another class instead. (A TA class). Do I have to tell the UC’s and CSU’s that I have dropped computer and added another class?

i'm pretty sure you do need to let the UCs know. I know that when I signed into the myapp websites, there was a section to fill out if you have dropped a class.

How do I tell them I had a change in classes?

I found this on the UC Davis website: Dropping a course can affect your admission, so we strongly encourage you not to drop any courses listed on your application. You must maintain your freshman "a-g" subject requirements or transfer preparation eligibility to maximize your opportunity for admission and enrollment.

Would dropping a class like computer programming really affect my admission? I am worried now.

I think it might affect your admission. To be sure, just stay in the class. there is only one semester left so you'll survive somehow. Plus, you don't have to strive for the best grade possible..just get at least a C and you'll be fine.

Change happens and schools understand this. Don't sacrifice your current equation for your future plans. Making an intelligent and informed decision is a sign of maturity that any school will respect and appreciate if you explain it as such.
