I'm asking here bc the subject tests forums are dead and i'm sure several of u have taken subject tests

I believe that questions have shown up before that require knowledge of conic sections, but my administration of Math Level 2 did not test this.

I’m thinking of skipping those conic sections and studying everything else bc I have limited time and it seems like tooo much to memorize. Is that a good idea??

Protip: The TI-84 (and possible other TI graphing calculators) comes with a conics application that tells you the equations for all conics, so memorization is unnecessary.

i have that calculator. can u tell me how to access the conic info?

i think you go to apps and it has everything jsut search for it

I memorized it because it was on my practice test, but then if I recall well it was handy for one question in the SAT II november.
Just do it. it wont take you more than 5 min and you won’t feel like your missing smth :)
