Do I need to prove my participation??

I participated in IMO and I write it down it the PartII application. Is it necesary to sent evidence(official website URL for example) of my participation in IMO to MIT or they can verify this by their own??

MIT will know if you did. IMO is easily verified at the country level.

:)

thank you, however I am international so do your statement still apply?
and what with the participation in regional olimpiads like IbMO and APMO?

If you were on your country's team, MIT would know.

Again if the country was one where the more privileged get to attend
IMO (there are a few) versus countries with a transparent
selection process MIT would know...

If there is a big discrepancy in the rest of the achievement profile, I
would imagine any college's fact checker would dig deeper and contact
your school's GC and/or their local EC coordinator to validate...?

:)

Don't worry, I know or have heard of many IMO, IPhO, ICho... competitors who did not need to send any proof at MIT.

Nope, you're good. MIT does not require certification or validation of any awards, major or minor. And anyway, MIT can check the major things for themselves anyway, as others have said.
