So I was wondering if I would need to report a C- grade if I receive one first semester in one of my AP classes. Colleges request C grades or below to be reported (some), so I was wondering if a C- grade would be in that category even though I would receive the same credits as having a C? Thank you!

If you are a senior in HS and you have applied to schools using the Common App, then your high school should be sending your mid year report to all the schools you have applied to. It will include your latest transcript/grades.

Hi! Yes, I know that my high school will be sending my grades, but I am wondering if I need to report a C minus as a separate grade? Because I don’t know whether or not it’s considered below a “C”-which colleges DO require you to report. I have always considered reporting grades below a C as a D grade, but I do not know if a C- is considered below a C? Thank you for your answer!

C OR below.
yes you need to report it.

“C or below” means anything lower than a straight “C”, not anything lower than a grade with a “C” in its name. This response may not make you happy, but you of course could simply call the school for a definitive answer.
