Do I need to send the ACT scores to validate my self-reported ones?

I self-reported both my SAT score and ACT score. But, I only send the official score report for the SAT's. Do I HAVE to send my ACT scores for it to be valid?

For Stanford, they accepted my ACT scores even though I never send the actual score report. Is this true for all schools? (Duke/Dartmouth)

It actually may be on your transcript already. Take another look at it! (My ACT scores are on the bottom.) I find it hard to believe that Stanford accepted your ACT scores with no validation, so I am betting that it is on your transcript.

ACT scores are only official if reported directly to the college by ACT, by your request. If you already reported SAT scores to a college you applied to, maybe the college didn't care what your ACT scores were. But if you think a college cares, be sure to get an official score report sent out from ACT to the college.

Both my SAT and ACT scores were on my transcript. I should just pay the money to send the ACT scores...

NO, you should officially report any score you want your college to consider. Scores listed on your transcript are NOT official, and you want to apply to the colleges you like the way they like you to apply. Check with the colleges about whether or not you can omit sending an official score report if your score appears on your transcript.
