This thing:

Or do I just need to submit a counselor rec?

Also I have a 2330 SAT (800M, 760CR, 770W) but a 3.26 GPA which puts me at like 16%. Are my chances good?

I think you do need to submit that report, although it looks like the counselor does most of the work.

As far as your chances, cases like yours always raise a lot of questions. Or more exactly, one question: How can someone that scores that high on the SAT not have better grades? It is the answer to that question that will likely determine your chances. Also the particulars matter. Have your grades been improving each year or declining? Are there a lot of A’s and C’s or tons of B’s? Did you take a lot of AP courses?

So predicting your chances is a useless exercise without knowing much more about your particular situation.

Okay, thanks. It’s just that I know my counselor doesn’t like me haha so I’m a little reluctant to have her fill it out.

Freshman year was abysmal, sophomore was a little better but still mediocre, junior year I put in a little effort and had like a 97 unweighted.

Now I’m taking AP physics, AP chem, AP micro/macro, honors math, and advanced history and english. I probably have a ~95 unweighted outside of english, which I am failing. It’s not a matter of ability or anything like that, last year I had a 98 unweighted for AP, it’s just that I think my teacher is insane.

So definitely a very sharp improvement. I think I have a pretty good excuse for my grades too so I included that in the personal statement.
