Do I need to submit transcripts for all attended schools?

Hi everyone,

I went to UC Irvine when I first graduated in 2013. I didn’t complete my first year, and came back home to later attend a CC and would be graduating soon. Now I’m entering the application process again and I’m at the part where they’re inquiring about previous schools and transcripts. However, UCI isn’t releasing my transcript unless i pay back about 5 grand that is owed to them. What options (if any) do I have here? I know I can’t outright lie in my applications but will I still be able to attend if I don’t have an official transcript?

You need to pay what you owe at UCI so they will release your transcripts. There is a Clearinghouse that will have a record of your UCI attendance so no way to get around it.

I second @Gumbymom

Yes i agree

There is no way to avoid sharing your transcript, and eventually Irvine must be paid as that debt is not dischargeable.

You need to pay the money. There’s no way around it. If you have reasonable credit, you might be able to get a bank loan for it. Once you’re in school, you could use extra student loan money to absorb it.
