Do I need to take ACTs to apply to colleges in the US as an international student?

<p>Are ACTs tests required for admission to schools in the United States, schools which also allow SATs?</p>

<p>I got confused when I read at the US Education Guide that MIT requires both ACT and SAT I/II tests.</p>

<p>I am a student studying in Yangon, Myanmar, and I'm afraid ACT is not available in our country. </p>

<p>Please help as soon as possible.</p>
