Do I need to take SAT II Physics?

Hi guys!

I’m wondering if I absolutely needed to take the SAT II Physics exam. I plan on doing a Physics major in college, but I haven’t taken SAT II Physics yet. I’ve taken SAT II Biology E and I scored an 800 on it, so I was wondering if that was sufficient for my science SAT even though it’s not really related to my intended major. What do you guys think?

Note: I have only taken regular physics and I’m taking AP Physics C this year.

Most likely not. It depends on the colleges you are applying to more than anything else.

And even then, it’s probably only an engineering program that will ask for it (or chem or any science). No college, AFAIK, specifically asks for physics. Great job on bio.

The bio should be just fine. Often people take SAT II’s to coincide with when they take the HS class so it makes sense that you have bio and not physics. As long as you have completed the testing you need to apply to the colleges you are interested in, I think/hope you can find a better use of your time than studying to rack up one more 800 on a standardized test.
