Do I need to take SAT reasoning before subject tests?

A few questions:

Do I need to take the reasoning before subject tests?

Do colleges need the SAT I and SAT II Scores right away with applications, or can they be sent later? I'm a junior right now, and my SAT reasoning is scheduled on May 3, I believe. Would it be possible to take SAT II in the fall of my senior year?

You can take them in any order you like.
The October session is usually the latest you can take any SAT tests to have the scores considered for EA/ED, but you should check with your prospective colleges first.

Most schools accept up to October for ED/EA and up to December for RD. Check with each school, though.

Some schools will also accept November testing for ED/EA, and January for retests for RD. As the above posters have said, check your specific schools to avoid any nasty surprises.

Yup, November test scores come out somewhat sooner to allow them to make it in time for ED/EA in some schools. It depends on schools, though.

No!!!!!

I think taking your subject tests gives you practice for the LONG SAT reasoning test. Take a practice SAT and ACT and compare your scores using a conversion chart.

I did horrible on the SATs(1640) and ok on the ACT(27 or a 1820-1850).

Take your subject tests, if they are the same subjects as your APs, in May.
You'll be preparing for the same material, anyway.
