Do i need to take the new SAT?

<p>I'm looking for advice on whether or not i should take the new SAT (im class of 06).</p>

<p>On the old SAT, i scored 1560 (only took it once), but this was probably a fluke and i would not expect to score that high again. I also took the SAT II writing and scored a 710.</p>

<p>Would it be worth it to risk taking the new SAT (and scoring probably in the mid 2100s) because some colleges want it, or should i just give them my old scores?</p>

<p>if you're applying to schools that require new SAT (mainly UCs and some others) then take it. otherwise, probably not. i also got 1560 on the old, but i'm taking the new so i can apply to UCs</p>
